Being a member of the School Council is a rewarding way for you to be involved with the governance of the school - 2026 BESDS School Council Election and Nomination Notice. This year, most of council member positions are open for election: 5 parent members, 3 community members and 2 department employee members.

If you would like to discuss the role and the nomination process, please let us know.
As a school councillor, your commitment is a total of 8 meetings (2 meetings per term) held during the school term on the 3rd Monday evening of each month.

* 06/02/2026: Notice of election and call for nominations
* 20/02/2026: Closing date for nominations
* 27/02/2026: Close of ballot
* 02/03/2026: Vote count & Declaration of poll
* 16/03/2026: First council meeting to elect office-bearers
